adminNews

The Foundation Against Watchtower Shunning (SAWS), registered in Aalten, Holland has sent 7 letters to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses (CCJW) in the Netherlands inviting them to enter a dialogue with all those who continue to suffer because of the religious mandated shunning policy.

A press release has been circulated stating that if the CCJW Directors or representatives ignore the invitation to meet and enter dialogue, then the Directors and supporters of SAWS will make their way to the CCJW Head Office in Emmen.

The points for discussion are:

  • Reform of the mandated shunning policy with the aim of recognising the harm and inhumanity of the action;
  • The willingness to make a sincere public apology regarding the discriminatory mandated shunning policy.

The Mayor and the police have been notified of the time and date of the meeting and the possible demonstration at CCJW Head Office:

Location:  Restaurant De Budde, Grotestraat 167, 7443 BE Nijverdal
